JOHN F. KENNEDY ESSAY CONTEST
The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation offers an essay contest on the political courage of a U.S. elected official as described by John F. Kennedy in Profiles in Courage. Information may be found at http://www.jfklibrary.org/Education/Profile-in-Courage-Essay-Contest.aspx. Deadline is January 18.
ED STEGNER NATURAL RESOUCE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship program provides financial aid to encourage students in five areas of natural resource management: Fisheries, Forestry, Wildlife, Parks and Recreation and Soil and Water conservation. CONSERVATION FOUNDATION OF MISSOURI SCHOLARSHIP
CFMO offers 5 -- $1000 scholarships to high school seniors in different natural resources areas. Preference will be given to those demonstrating financial need. Information can be found at http://www.moswcs.org/scholarship/. Deadline is January 31.
ROBERT J. STUCKEY ESSAY CONTEST
Write a 1,200 to 1,500 word essay about one or more aspects of books and reading--only one essay entry accepted from our school--students will need to submit essays to Mrs. G. Awards are $1,500 for first prize and $750 for second prize. If you are interested in competing in this essay contest, see Mrs. G. Deadline is January 31.
JAMES L. AND NELLIE M. WESTLAKE SCHOLARSHIP
Students whose EFC is $7000 or less per year and have a family adjusted gross income of $60,000 or less and have a 2.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale may apply. Applications are available at https://www.sms.scholarsapply.org/westlake. Deadline is February 1, 2019.
CMH MEDICAL EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for students planning to enter the medical profession. The scholarship amount varies. If selected you must commit to return to work for CMH for a period of time based on the amount of assistance given. BRAXTON RETHWISCH SCHOLARSHIP
The Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling is pleased to offer the Braxton Rethwisch scholarship to Missouri high school seniors who exhibit a commitment to learning and have demonstrated leadership skills and community service involvement. Five one-time $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. This scholarship is open to current high school seniors who have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
