Fair Play R-II Summer School Information (2025)

We are excited that your child has signed up for summer school! Here are a few important details:

DATES AND TIMES:

Summer school runs from May 27 through June 20. It begins at 8.00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.

MORNING ARRIVAL:

Doors open at 7:50am. Students in Grades K-6 can be dropped off at the north doors of the elementary school, just like during the regular school year. Students in Grades 7-12 can be dropped off at the high school building. Breakfast will be served in the classrooms.

END OF DAY:

Elementary students can be picked up at the north end of the elementary building at 3:00pm. Please use your Carline number for the pickup line.
Students who walk home will be held longer to allow traffic to clear
Bus riders will load at the south end of the elementary building
Please inform the office by 2:00pm of any end-of-day transportation changes.

OFFICE:

The summer school secretary is Miss Stephanie. She will be in the Elementary School office. If you need to pick up your child early, please go to the office and she will call for them. The office will be closed between 10:45 a.m.and 12:30 pm. You may leave a message or come to the cafeteria if you need a student during this time.

BUS SCHEDULE:

The following are approximate times when the bus will be at the three pickup/drop-off points in the district:

Aldrich Post Office - 7:30 a.m. / 3:15 p.m.
Dunnegan Fire Station - 7:05 a.m./3:10 p.m
Hwy 13 Trailer Park - 7:25 a.m. / 3:40 p.m.

FIELD TRIPS:

There will be one field trip each week. A field trip packet will be sent home with details, costs, and permission slips. Please return the permission slips as soon as possible.

If your child has 100% attendance for the week, they may attend that week’s field trip for free
If a student does not have perfect attendance, they may still attend but must pay for the tickets at the school's cost.
We will excuse one doctor or dentist appointment per week with official documentation.
On the last day of summer school (June 20), we have planned a trip to Big Surf Water Park. If your child has attended the first three weeks and has perfect attendance the fourth week, this trip will be free.
