Join us in the gym for KY3 Weather School! This is a free, family-friendly event that promises to be both educational and fun for all ages. We encourage all families to attend!
November 11 | Veterans Assembly | 1:30 PM
Please join us in the gym for our Veterans Assembly, which is open to the public. This is an opportunity to honor and recognize the brave men and women who have served our country. To all our veterans, thank you for your service and sacrifice!
November 12 | Family Night | 5:30–7:00 PM
We are excited to host the first of our four planned family nights! We look forward to bringing our school community together for an evening of family engagement and connection.
November 18 | FAFSA Night | 5:30–7:30 PM
Do you have a senior graduating this year? Join us in Mr. Williams’s room at the high school campus for FAFSA Night. We will be available to help families navigate and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All families with a senior are welcome to attend!
November 20 | Meet the Hornets Night | 5:00 PM
Come out and support our Hornets as we introduce our boys’ and girls’ basketball teams for the upcoming season! We look forward to seeing our community come together to show their Hornet pride and support our student-athletes.
Thanksgiving Break Reminder
There will be no school November 23–30 in observance of Thanksgiving Break. We hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing, and happy holiday with family and friends!

Reminder about the (postponed) FFA Ice Cream Social tomorrow (Tuesday - 10/27) evening in the school cafeteria at 6:30pm. FFA members need to inform those who were invited about the rescheduled event.
Congratulations to our Meats Evaluation and Technology Team for placeing 5th in the nation! The team is made up of Chloe Bruce, Riley Bruce, Lexi Bee, and Dallas Hardt. Chloe, Lexi, and Riley all earned a gold individual rating and Dallas earned a Silver rating.
Chloe Bruce is a top 10 individual!
The session for Chloe's placement will begin at 1:30. We will keep everyone updated as we get information.

Good evening Fair Play Families. School will be IN session tomorrow. We have taken all necessary precautions with the boil order that is in effect including covering the drinking fountains and bottle fillers. We will have plenty of bottled water for all the students and tomorrow's lunch will be a sack lunch. We would like to thank Chad Dooley and the City of Fair Play for their quick work and response to the breakage.

The water is currently back on for the time being. We are not for sure if this is temporary but with it currently working we are encouraging all students to use the restroom.
The water outage that is effecting the city is currently effecting the school district as well. We currently have a plan to make it through the end of the day. If students are in need of using the bathroom we will be bussing them to our Woodlawn property until 3:00 to let them to use the facilities. We have bottled water if any student is in need of drinking water. THERE WILL BE NO AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES.

Due to rain postponing District Softball first round to tomorrow evening, the FFA Ice Cream Social is going to be rescheduled to Tuesday, October 27 at 6:30pm. This was the first available option possible. Sorry for any inconvenience the change may cause. If you know people that may be planning to attend and would not see social media, please spread the word. Thank-you.
Reminder to FFA members that Mum Sale sheets are due to be turned in today (Tuesday).
Mr. Steve's Bus is having mechanical issues. He will be running approximately 30 minutes late.
FFA Upcoming Events and Notables. September FFA Meeting today(Wednesday) 3:30-4:00pm. FFA Mum Sales are nearing completion. See an FFA member to get yours soon. Really nice plants this year! Freshmen will be starting recitation of the FFA Creed this week and we will be ordering FFA jackets next week. If you have questions or need further info contact Mr. Lightfoot at ext.4000
Fair Play Families,
Welcome to Week 2 of the new school year,! It's going to be a hot one, with extreme temperatures rising to three digits. In an abundance of caution, we are making the following changes for this week only (9/1 - 9/4):
1) Pre-School will have class in the high school building. Drop Off/ Pick Up procedures remain the same.
2) Any recess that takes place between 1 and 3 pm will be inside this week. Students may play in the gym or will have activities in their classroom during this time.
3) Students will be encouraged to take water bottles to every recess throughout the day. Parents, we ask that you send a water bottle to school with your child if they have not done so yet.
4) Students who ride the bus home will be encouraged to take a water bottle with them each day.

We wanted everyone to be aware that we will be having our intruder trainning exercise this morning Aug 19th.
We are partnering with the Polk County Sheriff's office and other local law enforcement and emergency responders. If you drive by and see multiple emergency vehicles located in our high school parking lot please do not be alarmed this is part of the exercise.
Individual student results from last spring's testing (MAP and EOC) are in. Results will be sent home in the first two weeks of school. If you would like it sooner please contact your student's school office.
Polk County back to school extravaganza is tomorrow from 8a.m. to 10a.m. at Bolivar High School. Free backpacks, school supplies and other products will be given out. Please see the attached flyer for other details.
The issue regarding the new 6th, 7th, and 8th grade middle school registration has been resolved.
Good morning, Hornet Families! Attached is information with important dates about back to school. Today, August 5th, an email will be sent out to the email on file for online student registration. If needed, online registration help will be available starting August 11th. We can't wait to see everyone at open house on August 20th from 5-7! There will be a mandatory athletic meeting at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria at the conclusion of open house. We are looking forward to another great year!
Reminder to FFA members and incoming freshmen of the August FFA Meeting and Freshmen Welcome tomorrow from 3:00-5:00pm in the Ag Building at school. Come enjoy an ice cream sundae bar and some delicious treats provided by some of our FFA officers along with FFA fun and fellowship.
