Mrs. Howard is visiting classrooms this week and reading the story, The Carrot Seed by Ruth Kraus. It was her favorite book as a child. She said it's a great way for her to learn student names. And the book provides the opportunity to talk with students about setting goals and believing in ourselves.

Congratulations to Aiyanna Hamilton for placing 3rd in the Area X Public Speaking Contest in the area of Missouri Pet Breeders. She qualifies for District Competition later this month.

Scott Schwartz and family after receiving the American FFA Degree

Congratulations to Scott Schwartz and Landon Wright on earning the American FFA Degree which was conferred today at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. One-half of 1 percent of members eventually earn this highest of all degrees.
FFA members had an enjoyable day touring Heartland Growers, Trader's Point Creamery, Southside Landfill and the National FFA Center. Ending the day at the rodeo.
