
Mrs. Seay took students to OTC's Health Science Open House where they were able to explore the different healthcare field programs OTC has to offer. They also participated in hands-on simulation activities such as drawing blood, stitching surgical sutures and giving injections.

The Ozarks Community Health Center will be presenting depression awareness and suicide prevention trainning on Monday, December 5th. Mrs. Seay took a group of Seniors to visit Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO. Students had fun touring the campus and eating lunch in the dorm cafeteria.

The PCL Science Olympiad at Hermitage took place on November 2nd. Keelie Henderson took first place in the HS Anatomy Test and 3rd place in the HS Weather Test. Katelyn Higginbotham, Tori Campbell, Donald Potter, Malachi McAlpine took first place in the JH Egg Drop. Theo Dooley got 4th place in the JH Anatomy Test. Congratulations students! #HornetPride

Mrs. Howard is visiting classrooms this week and reading the story, The Carrot Seed by Ruth Kraus. It was her favorite book as a child. She said it's a great way for her to learn student names. And the book provides the opportunity to talk with students about setting goals and believing in ourselves.


Congratulations to Aiyanna Hamilton for placing 3rd in the Area X Public Speaking Contest in the area of Missouri Pet Breeders. She qualifies for District Competition later this month.

Congratulations to Scott Schwartz and Landon Wright on earning the American FFA Degree which was conferred today at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. One-half of 1 percent of members eventually earn this highest of all degrees.
