Good evening Fair Play Families. School will be IN session tomorrow. We have taken all necessary precautions with the boil order that is in effect including covering the drinking fountains and bottle fillers. We will have plenty of bottled water for all the students and tomorrow's lunch will be a sack lunch. We would like to thank Chad Dooley and the City of Fair Play for their quick work and response to the breakage.

The water is currently back on for the time being. We are not for sure if this is temporary but with it currently working we are encouraging all students to use the restroom.
The water outage that is effecting the city is currently effecting the school district as well. We currently have a plan to make it through the end of the day. If students are in need of using the bathroom we will be bussing them to our Woodlawn property until 3:00 to let them to use the facilities. We have bottled water if any student is in need of drinking water. THERE WILL BE NO AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES.

Due to rain postponing District Softball first round to tomorrow evening, the FFA Ice Cream Social is going to be rescheduled to Tuesday, October 27 at 6:30pm. Fair Play Families,
Welcome to Week 2 of the new school year,! It's going to be a hot one, with extreme temperatures rising to three digits. In an abundance of caution, we are making the following changes for this week only (9/1 - 9/4):
1) Pre-School will have class in the high school building. Drop Off/ Pick Up procedures remain the same.
2) Any recess that takes place between 1 and 3 pm will be inside this week. Students may play in the gym or will have activities in their classroom during this time.
3) Students will be encouraged to take water bottles to every recess throughout the day. Parents, we ask that you send a water bottle to school with your child if they have not done so yet.
4) Students who ride the bus home will be encouraged to take a water bottle with them each day.

We wanted everyone to be aware that we will be having our intruder trainning exercise this morning Aug 19th.
We are partnering with the Polk County Sheriff's office and other local law enforcement and emergency responders. If you drive by and see multiple emergency vehicles located in our high school parking lot please do not be alarmed this is part of the exercise.
Individual student results from last spring's testing (MAP and EOC) are in. Results will be sent home in the first two weeks of school. If you would like it sooner please contact your student's school office.
Polk County back to school extravaganza is tomorrow from 8a.m. to 10a.m. at Bolivar High School. Free backpacks, school supplies and other products will be given out. Please see the attached flyer for other details.
The issue regarding the new 6th, 7th, and 8th grade middle school registration has been resolved.
Good morning, Hornet Families! Attached is information with important dates about back to school. Today, August 5th, an email will be sent out to the email on file for online student registration. If needed, online registration help will be available starting August 11th. We can't wait to see everyone at open house on August 20th from 5-7! There will be a mandatory athletic meeting at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria at the conclusion of open house. We are looking forward to another great year!
Reminder to FFA members and incoming freshmen of the August FFA Meeting and Freshmen Welcome tomorrow from 3:00-5:00pm in the Ag Building at school. Come enjoy an ice cream sundae bar and some delicious treats provided by some of our FFA officers along with FFA fun and fellowship.
Congratulations to the 2026 winners of the Area X FFA Rituals Contest held today during the Area Leadership Conference at Bolivar HS. After shuffling the deck to fill spots and calling Chloe B. out of retirement to do the advisor part, FP brought home the win which was back to back with last year's winning performance.
Reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday) is the Area FFA Ice Skating trip. Any member (and incoming freshmen) are welcome to attend. Cost will be $5 cash only and we will leave at 10:20am with return at approximately 2:30pm. Fast food lunch on the way home.
