Good afternoon Fair Play Families. We wanted to provide an update to our community regarding the FFA chapters bus accident from this morning. At this time, all students have been checked out and have been released to their parents. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers for our students. We want to thank all of the first responders and medical personnel that were there for our students during the accident and after. Conway Volunteer Fire Department, Mercy EMS, Laclede County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Their professionalism and experience made for a well organized and planned approach for this incident. We would also like to thank the Laclede County R-1 (Conway School District) for going above and beyond with the care they showed for all of the students. They not only provided transportation for the students to their school to get them out of the weather, but also provided them with dry clothes, food, and drinks. We can not thank them enough for the care and hospitality they provided for the students.

This morning our Fair Play FFA chapter along with Dadeville and Bolivar FFA Chapters were involved in an accident near Phillipsburg on the way to Indianapolis for the FFA National Convention. Currently at this time, the only injuries that we are aware of are minor scrapes/cuts and students are being evaluated on the scene. Students are also being transported to Conway School District as a staging area for pick up. Fair Play has a bus in route to pick students up and bring them home. Thank you to everyone for your prayers, assistance on the scene, and helping take care of our kids. Also, big thank you to Conway school district for housing our students out of the weather.

Dear Families,

We're excited to share that our school is partnering with Books Are Fun and the Book Blast program to help put brand-new, age-appropriate books into the hands of every one of our students!

Here's why we love Book Blast:

Every student receives books they'll love and want to read
100% of all contributions go directly to books and classroom needs
The book list is thoughtfully curated and truly engaging
Keep an eye out for a message from me with more details soon.

Your student will also be bringing home a printed Treasure Map—this is their ticket to joining the fun, earning books, and unlocking some great prizes. It's simple, exciting, and encourages reading at home.

In the meantime, you can learn more about Books Are Fun and the Book Blast program: https://www.bb.booksarefun.com/testimonials.

We're looking forward to a great kickoff!

Please see the map for drop-off and pick-up locations for this school year. Pre-K drop off is 7:50-8:00 am and pick up is 3:00-3:10 pm. We ask that you do not block the bus path and be mindful of those walking to and from school. Dropping off and picking up in the designated areas are vital in assuring the process is smooth and keeps our students safe. For the first day, families may walk students into the Elementary vestibule, but will not be allowed in the hallways. All junior high and high school students MUST enter the building via the cafeteria doors. We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday!

The 24-25 officer team enjoyed a final evening together last night by enjoying a meal out and applying some of their knowledge about beef quality grading. A great time and awesome meal was had by all. Shout out to Will Neal who owns the Kobe Club Restaurant and who grows the awesome beef served in his establishment. Great guy (former FFA member) and great establishment.

FFA officers for 25-26 attended the Area X Leadership Conference earlier this week to receive training and motivation for the upcoming year. Fair Play's officer team was able to put their skills on display in the first annual Area X Rituals Contest (opening ceremonies performance).
