
FFA members planning to work at the Polk County Fairgrounds clean-up day tomorrow will leave from school at 8:30 am. If possible, bring gloves, rakes, pitchforks, or scoop shovels and/or brooms. Some tools will be available but work will go faster with more tools available. We should return to school between noon and 1 pm. Incoming freshmen planning to be FFA members are welcome to attend also.

Class of 2021 your graduation pictures from Stephens Photography are in the Superintendent's office ready to be picked up. Also those of your receiving scholarships should have received either a letter or email. If you have not received a letter or email please contact Lori in the superintendent's office.

If you are an incoming ninth grade through twelfth grade boy and are interested in playing basketball next year, there will be a short Boy's Basketball meeting Wednesday, June 2nd at 3:00pm in the school cafeteria. Come meet new coach Mr. Riley Mary and receive information about summer workout, open gyms and shootouts. If you cannot make the meeting, please send your contact information with a classmate.

Congratulations to Joe Brown on placing 10th in the Long Jump at the State Track Competition yesterday.

Congratulations to Track Athletes Joe Brown and Seth Lee for their competitive finish at Sectional Track. They both had 5th Place finishes in the 100m Dash and Javelin, respectively. Joe qualified for State competition in the Long Jump with a 4th Place finish. Good luck at State, which is taking place today in Jefferson City.

The district Baseball game scheduled for today has been canceled due to the wet conditions. The situation is still fluid due to the pending weather forecast. We will send updated game date and time information as it is made available over the next couple days.

All awards ceremony are in the morning not evening.

We are sorry for the prior confusion with the elementary awards ceremony. 1st -6th grades award ceremony will be in the multipurpose gym. 1-3 will start at 10:00 p.m. and 4-6 will begin at 10:50 p.m. Kindergarten will be the only ones going to the park and it will begin sometime between 10 and 10:15.

The Baseball game for tonight at Climax Springs has been moved to Fair Play. The game will begin at 6:00 p.m. there will only be one game.

Tonight's baseball game will begin at 4:30p.m. at Osceola.

This is just a reminder that the baseball game tonight starts at 4.

The Junior High Track Meet for this evening has been cancelled.

Congratulations to the FFA Food Science Team for a 9th place finish at State competition today in Columbia. Team members Amanda Scarbrough, Kolin Thomas, Brayden Thomas and Selena Christakos finished as 12th, 31st, 41st and 52nd individuals respectively. Great job!

The home baseball game tonight will start at 4:00p.m.

Senior Trip guidelines and itinerary were provided to Seniors today for parents to read prior to the Senior Trip Parent Meeting on Wednesday evening. Please take time to read the document prior to the meeting so you will know what is expected and what you are agreeing with by signing the permission slip at the meeting. The meeting will begin at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria, or as soon as you can arrive after that time. If it is impossible for a parent to attend Wednesday evening, the information can be given and permission slip signed by appointment (after Wednesday) prior to 3:30 pm Monday, April 26. The meeting should take no longer than 30 minutes.

April is an important month of testing for our school district. Elementary students in grades 3-6 will be taking the MAP test on April 27-30 and May 4-6. Please refer to the note that was sent home today for the specific testing schedule for the grade that your student is in.
Please make every attempt to encourage good attendance and NOT schedule appointments for your student on these dates throughout the entire testing period.

Remember, Elementary MAP testing is April 27-30 and May 4-6.

The home baseball game versus MCE for Tuesday will have a 4:30 pm starting time. Friday's home game versus Montrose has been moved to Wednesday with a starting time of 5:00 pm.

Congratulations to the FFA Meat Evaluation team of Breezy Wilson, Meghan Hoxsie and Jenna Viles for placing 8th and earning a Group 1 team rating in State Competition today in Columbia. Breezy placed as 8th individual, Meghan placed 15th and Jenna 27th. All earned Group 1 individual ratings. Great job girls!
