
Here is the schedule for the Wheatland varsity baseball tournament that is taking place next week. Please note that our first 3 games are played at Morrisville.


Few reminders for parents:
Prom Meeting - Thursday, April 4th at 5:30pm in the cafeteria (Junior and Senior parents welcome to attend)
Senior Trip Meeting - Friday, April 5th at 5:00pm in the cafeteria
HS Athletic Banquet - Friday, April 5th at 6:00pm in the cafeteria

The JH track team will be traveling to Skyline for their track meet today. The bus will leave at 2:30pm. #GoHornets

We were supposed to play a make-up baseball game at Dadeville today. This game has been cancelled due to all of the rain creating poor field conditions. When a rescheduled date is set I will communicate that information. There will be baseball practice after school today in the gym.
We are also waiting to hear about the track meet at Stockton.

Due to current field conditions and the threat of severe weather this afternoon, the home baseball games for this evening have been canceled. If/when a make up date is scheduled, we will communicate that information.

FFA Teams competing tomorrow at El Do. Bus leaves at 7 am. Eat breakfast before you get to school, we won't stop prior to arriving at contest.

We have rescheduled our baseball game against Dadeville. Due to a lack of available dates, Dadeville was willing to host a double-header in order to make up our game. We will play at Dadeville on Tuesday, April 2nd and the game is scheduled to start at 7pm. We will not be able to play JV due to Dadeville already playing two games in one night. Bus will leave at 5:30pm.

Due to poor field conditions, the baseball game today against Dadeville has been cancelled.
The Macks Creek game will be made up on 4/22/24. We are currently looking at a date to make up the Dadeville game.

We have two athletic events today (weather pending). There is a HS track meet (throwers only) at Buffalo. Events start at 3:45pm and the bus leaves at 2:30pm.
Our HS baseball team will be hosting Dadeville this afternoon. (If our field conditions do not improve the game could be rescheduled or we could move the game to Dadeville). Varsity will start at 5pm and JV will follow. We will keep everyone posted if the game is canceled or moved to Dadeville.

Next Tuesday, April 2nd is the school board and school bond election. Tomorrow evening, Tuesday, March 26th at 6:30 p.m. we're holding our second public forum to present information and answer questions about the No Tax Increase Bond Issue. That meeting will be in the school cafeteria. Thank you!

Congratulations to the JAG Knowledge Bowl team for advancing to the finals at the State Career Development Conference. They will compete again later tonight. Good luck Audrey Steele, Wyatt Morrow, Alexis Francka, and Stormie O'Connell.


The baseball games at Macks Creek today have been canceled. When a make up date is decided we will communicate that information. The team will practice in the gym from 3:30pm-5pm today.

Junior & Senior Parents - We will be having a brief prom meeting on Thursday, April 4th from 5:30pm-6pm in the cafeteria. This will be a brief meeting to provide information and answer any questions. Just a friendly reminder school is in session on Monday, March 25th. Our Spring Break will also begin next week, March 28-April 1.

SENIOR PARENTS - We will be having a brief meeting regarding Senior Trip on Friday, April 5th at 5pm. Please plan to attend if your child is going on Senior Trip.

Several FFA teams had successful outings today at Aggie Day Contests at Crowder College. The Dairy Foods team placed first and members Lexi Bee, Riley Bruce, Dallas Hardt and Will Frye were all top ten individuals. Lexi Bee was 1st High Individual in the 130 person event. The Entomology team, consisting of Mekenzie Evans, Chloe Bruce, Annah McGaha, and Katie Clark placed third out of 25 teams. The Meats team of Riley Tillery, Bailey Clark, Keelie Henderson and Jasmine Farrow placed 10th in a highly competitive 25 team event. Great job to all competitors!
