After a lengthy wait for individual results to be posted.....the National Champion Milk Quality and Products team of Dallas Hardt, Lexi Bee, Riley Bruce and Will Frye individually placed as 1st, 2nd, 5th and 13th high individuals respectively, in the 164 member competition. There were 40 states plus Puerto Rico competing in the event. All 4 of our team members were Gold Medal individuals and will each receive a $1000 cash award for being a member of the winning team. Congratulations on an awesome job!
Congratulations to Jarrett Viles for receiving the American FFA Degree at the 97th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN today. He is the 35th recipient from Fair Play to earn this honor. Only 1 out of 200 members earn this capstone accomplishment.
The FFA Milk Quality and Products team of Dallas Hardt, Lexi Bee, Riley Bruce and Will Frye represented the Show-Me State well today while competing in the national MQP Career Development Event at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. They will learn midday tomorrow how they placed. Congratulations to all individuals on a job well done!
The Fair Play R-II School District invites all those who served, and are serving, in the military to our Veterans Day Assembly on Friday November 8th. Lunch will be served at 12:30pm in the gym lobby with the assembly beginning at 1:30pm in the big gym. Please RSVP by Wednesday, November 6th by calling the high school front office at 417-654-2232.

Because Buffalo School District will have the next two school days off, all FPHS students who attend Dallas County Technical Center will be expected to report to school at 4th hour (11:03am) on Thursday, October 17th and Friday, October 18th. Fair Play FFA is reaching the home stretch of the annual Mum Sales Fundraiser. We are offering a variety of colors including red, yellow, white, bronze and lavender. The 2 gallon pot Hardy mums are grown by Rovenstine Greenhouse and are always the highest quality. If you haven't purchased yet, contact any FFA member soon to place an order. $15 each.
The Spring Summative Grade-Level (MAP) and End-of-Course Assessment scores are in and will be handed out at first quarter parent-teacher conferences or they may be picked up in the school offices.
Congratulations to Jarrett Viles for being selected as the 35th recipient of the American FFA Degree from the Fair Play FFA Chapter. This is the highest degree that can be awarded to FFA members and is eventually earned by only 1 of every 200 FFA members. This award recognizes years of work developing Supervised Ag Experience programs in addition to an outstanding leadership record and community service by the member. The degree will be conferred during the National FFA Convention in October. Jarrett is one of 663 (the highest of any state) members from Missouri that will be receiving this honor.

Reminder to FFA members of the August FFA meeting today at 3pm in the Ag Building. Come enjoy some sweet treats and fellowship. Incoming freshmen are welcome (and encouraged) to attend and enjoy some ice cream and watermelon.

Reminder for FFA members and prospective members (incoming freshmen) of the July FFA Meeting and cookout at Masters Beach tomorrow (July 3) from 2-4:30pm. Members are responsible for their own transportation. Food, fun and swimming at the beach!
